Surely this guy is a strong contender for man of steel, his workrate is unbelievable and he keeps on getting better and better. He is Mr consistent and i believe one of Justins greatest buys for our club

I totally agree, but I can't see the award going to anyone who doesn't play for Leeds or Saints.

I think the Man of Steel award is a bit flawed cos like ya say its 100% gonna be someone from Leeds or Saints.

Probably the most complete 2nd rower in SL.

Maybe not in the reckoning for MoS but it's no bad thing that he's under the radar. In my opinion the best import we brought over in recent years, and that's no disrespect to Mick Vella.

Fanzine Player of the Year - for last season

Does a lot of work that goes unnoticed too, glad Sky picked up on him and he got MOM at the derby. He was certanily an unsung hero last year and I'm glad he's getting some recognition this season. Also, didn't Mick Vella say in his HDM column that he has a fat ar@e?

Yep! He was brought in if I recall to replace Mark O'Neill, another class player, I think we can safely say he has more than done that!

Mark O'Neil said to someone before he left Rovers something like:

"Benny is a better player than I ever was..."

He cleaned up athe player of the year awards hardly unsung

I remember when he said that but thought it was just the usual crap players talk when leaving clubs but he wasn't wrong was he.

That said still think Vella is your best player but Galea a close 2nd

Vella has a great work ethic on the pitch but Benny has it right from getting up on a Monday morning. On the pitch Ben offers us more options, his handling of the ball, kicking game when needed and his quick feet when he takes the line on are all why I feel Ben is better than Vella but when played with Newton and Vella we have three of the best imports in the league IMO.
