My father was an English sailor during WW II.

He told the story of how the captain of the first ship he was on was as camp as a row of tents, and the older sailors made him work in the engine room so they could hide him away from the captain.

About six weeks, not done any sport, bit of hiking. Not really any pain when weight bearing, more it hurts and feels like you don't want to move it any more, not hot to touch so not infected, no restriction in mobility of my foot.

It's mainly that I've got a couple of long distance walks coming up that I want to do so I don't need my foot falling off half way through. I've been nursing it since it first happened but it's not got any better.
