It's a long story, but if you are interested: I originated in Wharfedale, spent my formative years there, lived on a farm with Wharfedale in it's name.

Also the other name I considered 'Ben Rhydding' would have caused too many wrong assumptions of my gender! I have lived in many other places in the UK, the best have been in the West Riding. Kent isn't too bad, but not 'home'.

We're going to Manchester this weekend to stay with friends. They are getting married next Sept & have asked Mr Baldhead to be bestman & myself to be a bridesmaid, (although I will be 34 by then & far too old to be a bridesmaid). I've never been one before, I wasn't the cutest of kids with my pink framed NHS glasses & my cropped ginger hair. Lets face it who wants a ginger bridesmaid? It doesn't help that the 3 other bridesmaids are all gorgeously dark skinned, and the bride is of Asian descent. I'll just have to stand at the back, it will be like the school nativity all over again.

Later on you can also mow people down with one of those mobility scooters or skin others ankles with a shoppingbag on wheels.

Ms. Terrorist has been a bridesmaid as a child, hilarious pictures, pink gowns with some sort of frilly leg warmer things.

Ms. Terrorist was then a sort of matron of honour for one of our (now ex) friends, she really didn't want to do it and was in denial until about three days before hand. This was also an Asian wedding at that big hotel on Piccadily Gardens in Manc. The room holds about a thousand people and the couple were led in by a little boy playing a drum followed by Ms. Terrorist and the best man. God it was funny, wish I had the video.

2 of the other bridesmaids are also married/seperated with kids & we are all around the same age, so I guess she's trying to be diplomatic. She also point blank refuses to have anything resembling a traditional Asian wedding, which I think is very mean as I would love to wear a sari. Some people are soooo selfish.

But if it was traditional, it would probably be dry and no Wedding is palatable sober. The one we went to was dry, well apart from all the Asian people swigging pints of Stella whilst I nursed my fizzy water. Good curry though, terrible ice cream, that stuff is awful.
