Nev Costigan could be released - he is old, not in great form, and Bennett released him from Saints last year.
You can have 20 year old Rodney Mason if you like. His family has a connection with you i believe.

So we've signed McConnell who ever he is hope misi ain't gonna get his nose pushed out I like the way he plays, although he can play other positions well both of them can, wonder if this is the player we was all gonna get excited about can't see it as it was only in the hdm yesterday that Craig needs to speak to Hudge first.

Can't see us signing another back. If Clinton is going (and I think he must be if the MacDonell story is true), I'd agree another forward would probably be needed - though maybe a second row if Paea is seen primarily as a prop.
Outs - Briscoe, Colbon, Fox, Cockayne, Mason, Newton, Clinton (?), Vella, Fisher, Cook = 10
Ins (from other clubs) - MacDonell (?), Hodgson, Taulapapa, Paea (?), O'Hara, Withers, Horne = 7
We're now seeing more young players step up, but I'd still like to see 1 more high end signing in the forwards... and maybe some cheapish halfback cover.
Not sure who is available though. This could be it.
Green hasn't got a full-time contract as yet, has he? |

Forgot Griffin.
Going to be a be more youthful and probably bigger squad next year. Bit short on top-end quality, but if Sandercock can get the best out of the pack going forward and in defence, plus a bit of variety in our attacking play 6th mightn't be unrealistic. |

Withers is a good signing, but I feel sorry for Fisher. He didn't under perform like many of the others released, our inability to dominate the ruck meant he just didn't have much to work with.
As a hooker there's probably not much between them, but we've been desperate for a third option at half back & this is one of Withers biggest assets imo.
Hopefully this will mean we can still compete in games when we don't have Dobson or Green on the park, instead of the total meltdown we saw this season.
