So, that's cheese and chicken that's apparently still widely available, don't seem to have got the hang of this thread.

| A version of that chocolate flavour stuff that solidifies on contact with ice cream is still available, not sure of make or name, but it was with the sauces and wafers etc. in Morrison's in the summer.

Nestle's version of a Cadbury's Caramel, with runnier caramel IIRC. Not too bad.

I would imagine she was naming the parent company.
Look at a Kitkat or a Toffee Crisp wrapper you wont find the name Rowntree on them anymore (Unfortunalty)

You are correct, it was Rowntrees at the time. Rowntrees is still the branding for fruit flavoured sweets like Fruit Pastilles. Since it's getting near Christmas it's nearly time for Matchmakers, which are made by Nestle but branded[u "Quality Street Matchmakers" [/u now. It says on the website "MATCHMAKERS have joined the QUALITY STREET family" Why would they, unless it was some sort of shotgun wedding? When was the last time you picked out a toffee penny from a tin of Quality Street and when you unwrapped it it was actually a Matchmaker? Disturbing.
