come on you know what I mean.
if you're gonna include pitches etc as redevelopment surely the others can include painting the stands and spraying weedkiller on the terraces.
Im not knocking what you've achieved in the last 3 years as what you have achieved is very impressive.
If my statements all completely wrong please can you provide me with a link on the Hull kr website for the north stand redevelopment as google can't.'"
So a new pitch is the same as praying weed killer ![Shocked icon_eek.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_eek.gif) When did weed killer cost £350,000. and as I said before, as regards a new north stand that is for future development, ( as you righly said ) and for a year you know there was a link to the plans on the Rovers site, until Rovers redesigned their web page, but if your that interested, you can go to the guildhall and ask for copies of the submitted plans to planning, I look forward to you posting them on here ![Rolling Eyes icon_rolleyes.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_rolleyes.gif)

spraying weed killer, painting stands and ensuring you havie a good standard playing surface all fall under general maintenance of the stadium . (IMO of course)
The reason i mentioned the north stand is that when the licences where issued rovers expected to have the stand ready by the end of this season.
The clubs that the rfl have warned today also promised things which haven't yet materialsed.
Anyway I'm suprised at the statement given the recession.
Over and out.

The thing is ours is just redevelopment and although it may have slipped to the left a bit it is still fundamentally underway, work albeit a bit superficial has started on the north end and the east has been extended. The teams mentioned are all awaiting new grounds which are a lot more exposed to the current financial climate and plan B's don't exist if backers pull out and the go ahead is lost.

| Quote ="j_hunter_hkr"Saints definitely can't! Last year we were greeted to the away end by a nice arrangement of dandelions and a dead pigeon.'"
You were privileged!
I usually end up standing under one of the cute little roof holes we have dotted all over the place and the poor sods in the stand experience the wonders of paying large sums of money to sit on wooden seats that probably pre-date the Northern Union!
Believe it or not, Knowsley Road has held 36,000. That's the record attendance, I think in the 1940s (but it may be 1950s), for a Wigan-Saints match and included people sitting on one of the roofs. And that was when the Pop Side (the home covered terrace) was wooden and the toilet was the back wall.
Clearly, we have made [isome[/i improvements.
We have been actively trying for 20 years to get a new stadium but to do so we needed the Council on board and they refused all invitations until McManus joined us - the man is a business genius. If Taylor Wimpey, the company buying Knowsley Road, don't go belly up (and they threatened to do so at the beginning of the year) then we should be in our splendid new stadium at some point during 2011. I think every Saints fan will miss Knowsley Road but likewise every Saints fan recognises the need for a new stadium.
So far as I can see, Hull KR are doing just fine. You ticked the stadium box when the licences were handed out, didn't you? Surprisingly, we didn't (along with the 10 mile thingy) and that's why we're on the RFL's naughty list. You didn't fail it, I presume, so you're not on it. So you didn't get one of the RFL's special letters.

I'm not complaining that we havent been warned, but our stadium is on the same par if not worse than all of the stadium's listed above. Where is our warning?'"
Rovers ground met the RL Criteria simple as or we wouldnt of been given a licence in the first place.

Because there's plenty of time yet for you to fulfil your plans, whereas the clubs being written to are running out of time given the size of the projects they need to undertake.

There's been some progress, but at the moment there's a pause. Still plenty of time to complete the work, just pointing out that the RFL are clearly taking note of how the various improvement projects are progressing and IF no further progress was made then they might well send a reminder.
The licences are not assessed annually. We can't be downgraded until the next round of applications. By which time the criteria may well have changed anyway.

I can understand Hull fans going on about our stadium as they've got nothing else better to go on about. That said.....
....when i pay to watch rovers, thats exactly what i pay for...to WATCH rovers.I WATCH them a craven park...i WATCH them at brewery field...i WATCH them at JJB....i WATCH them at knowsley road...i WATCH them at the KC...i WATCH them..............well i couldn't give a t0$$ if i watched them on east park. I watched them at leeds last week knowing i was going to get a soaking, thats part of the fun...if all clubs in the perfect world of the RFL where the same, knowing week in week out i was going to be sitting in a shiney all seater sterile football stadium or the like is not what i call part of the experience. I do not pay my sky subscription to look at a stadium, i pay it to watch the rugby played on the turf, some of the best rugby in the world (australia) is played in worse surroundings than we have. Lets just say for instance, "i'll use hull as an example ![Laughing icon_lol.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_lol.gif) and wakefield" that for the next 2 seasons wakefield finish in the top 4-8 and play good rugby and hull continue to play the dross they are at the moment and finish 2nd 3rd from bottom, who should be at more risk of loseing their licence?I know i'd rather watch a team playing good rugby in a e hole than a team playing dross in a sterile stadium.

| I'd say the Sth stand is the 2nd wrse stand behind the "cage" at Les Cats (if it's still there, it is 2 years since I was last there). The Les Cats end stand is uncovered, is equally far from the pitch and has a giant cgae running around it (like being back at Wembley in the 80's!). After that it would be us although the Odsal end stand is only saved by its elevation.
As I said at the beginning we have realistic plans (and a track record of improving) for upgrading the ground to a great boutique RL ground whilst the others are reliant on massive funding, massive planning permission issues and a much longer timeline. Hence why we got no warning.

| They don't need to warn them, the lack of finances will do the RFL's job for them.
Expect Club Rovers May2010 really soon. Where you pay £60 to join and gain entry into the first home game of the Challenge Cup and a free scarf.

| These 5 clubs have done nothing with regards stadia for years maybe take out Celtic on that comment. However since the franchises where announced haven't we extended the east stand with an increased capacity of 1200 added the rotary youth club to craven park. built new communtity classrooms and all new toilet facilities in the east stand. I also firmly believe that the other side of the east stand will be increased by another 1200 before the franchises come around again.
Not as if We've stood still so why we'd get a letter from the RFL is beyond me In the last 5 years I'd estimate that Hull KR has spent in the region of 1000000 on the development of craven park.
