You pay for the Membership - not a discount

Sort of reminds me of once when I bought a suite, a few days later I saw it cheaper in another shop, so I contacted the store I'd bought it from and asked them why. Well, you got it on interest free, that's why

I disagree TBH. If you want a season pass next year you basically have no choice but to pay £60 to become a member. By the looks of it you will also lose all the traditional benefits of being a season pass holder if you dont become a member as well. Priority tickets etc. You also dont know what this "nominal renewal fee" will be next season yet

Priority tickets? Thats what a season pass is!



You wouldn't miss out on a pass if you didn't join, we don't sell 10k passes let alone memberships!

Didn't you sell-out of season passes for the East stand this year? Anyone wanting to renew that pass will need to be a member or they could in theory miss out as the members get first chance to buy them dont they? Or have I got that bit wrong?

In theory yes, people could miss out, although I'd be very surprised if every east and west stander became a member. I think it'll go well, but it's not for everyone. Also we may well get the east stand extended again if the demand is there.

As for cup semis and finals, do you really think we'll have more members than tickets available?!

Say they play a semi at the keepmoat and you get 7000 tickets allocated and you've got 3500 members who get 2 tickets each.



As it is the first 2500 members are guaranteed a north stand ticket for the derby next season which doesn't leave a lot for those less important standard season ticket holders.

I'm just surprised at how many Rovers fans think its a good idea that season passes have effectively gone up around £50. I know Rule is a spin doctor but your board are like Spin Rocket Scientists

Yes! As it says on the website, "a season pass is just advanced season tickets" . All benefits are gained from joining club 2010....Put simply, for current east stand pass holders to guarantee their place and benefits last season cost £179 (early buyers), this season for the same will cost £239, or without benefits will cost £221(if you get the east stand). If you cannot get east stand then you might aswell not get one and take advantage of the half price deals they do for non pass holders, because if you get the worthless pass you also miss out on non pass deals..........Oh my head hurts!

2009 = 2 x 179 = £358

2010 = 2 x 239 = £478 (with elite membership) OR
2010 = 2 x 221 = £442 (no elite membership)

Some people seem to think money raised from this membership will go on extending the East Stand, not according to the pdf:

Not trolling, but surely there are many other priorities for Rovers at this time than computerised turnstiles? Investment in extra capacity will surely have a much better payback?

And if you don't buy a shirt every year you will now have pay £35 to get your £10 dicount (£45- £10) to make the £60 worth while. Just in case you wonder, you get £5 off the home and away shirt or £10 off one of them.

Rant over....for now....off to blackpool for a couple of nights, get away from this computer and to enjoy this lovely weather we're having....not...
