No, at this time your no more a top side than Castleford who finished 2nd a year or so ago or even where we were in 2009. Top sides do it consistently, time will tell but I think if you want to become a consistent top side ghen you need a better hooker than Houghton (or an interchange) in the long run.

It's the lack of a 2nd half back that held us back a bot in the final stages of the season, nothing to do with houghton. Had we not got to wembley we'd have been in the GF irrespective though

Not really, we were miles off our best after wembley and lost 2 close games against wigan despite that. had we been at our best we'd have won the lls, played saints and been in tonight's final IMO

But he's 'only' 29, might be available, and hasn't been retired since the end of 2013. Fair enough, he's never been in the same class as Prince was in his prime, but Prince has been playing Masters touch rugby these last couple of years.

As for greed, if my company was struggling and another employer offered me a good opportunity, I'd look into it, and wouldn't feel greedy.

Is the club greedy for not honouring contracts of players it no longer wants or offering reduced terms to some players? You could say that they should have played better, but they could, legitimately IMO, argue that they were part of a squad that was too thin, which was beyond their control.

Mercenaries, vultures etc - it's just exploiting opportunities and looking after your self interest.
