This site is a major step up from the HDM site, but I'd just take EVERYTHING you read on the internet with a pinch of salt mate. With things like this there are always lots of rumors going around which obviously leaves a few people looking & feeling a bit daft when they don't come off. hudge dosnt have the luxury of waiting for a new sugar daddy to take his place. hes made it quite clear that his finantional input ends this season, why? maybe coz he belives it to be 'good money after bad', maybe coz any more investment would start to efect his personal wealth too much, these are just guesses on my part, but he also said on the radio today that rovers are a loss making business with limited fan base and there for difficult to market to an invester. my advice would be listen to your chairman, not some keyboard warrior on the HDM website

As I understand it nh and rc underwrite our losses, so with a newco they themselves would be the ones to lose out. I can understand why they might want a new owner to take on some of it as a show of good faith, or why they might want it left on the books to retain some influence. I can also see why a new owner might want a clean slate - but the admin and newco route seems a long-winded and pointless way of getting there all round.

Or maybe voltiare is right and you have debts with HMRC. Possibly what hudge is alluding to with his comments re getting through to the end of the season? I'd be surprised if these 2 rovers fanatics were going to hamper a new owner with paying them back the money they've lent to rovers

I've not seen or heard anything to indicate that, so I personally doubt it - it'd put a different complexion on things, certainly.
While I don't think they're in a position to play hardball, I can imagine they might prefer to retain a stake or see a show of commitment, depending on who the buyer is. Whether that is realistic, I'm not sure. It'd be unfair on a sponsor who is helping out to keep us going in the future, to expect them to take on a big chunk of the historic debt. On the other hand, you might worry about the intentions of a new owner unwilling to make even a token contribution - could be viewed as either shrewd or potentially a bit predatory.
I must admit, with a prospect of ongoing losses, if it were me, I'd want most of it written off.

what does anyone think of what was in dave the nosey parker today, it reads hull kr chairman neil hudgell said yesterday(sunday)morning that talk off imminent local investment coming in was "not sorted and all a little premature."he also laughed off rumours that russell crowe was ready to invest along with ex-rovers player clint newton and his dad. he did confirm,however,that second rower constataine mika's agent was free to offer him around as they had not offered him a new deal. that to me doesn't sound very good like a investor isn't coming forward after all so guess its a waiting game

I disagree I think mika not been offered a new deal is more to do with him been crap rather than a lack of forthcoming investment
