think we might know more next week, 2 difficult games for us both imo

We were our own worst enemy,bombing chances with bad handling and bad passing,difficult conditions I know but we have difficulty passing to each other.As mild rover says we would have took a point each time we fell behind,but we deserved at least a point maybe more,despite his rick charlie was probably our mom.Imo.

I thought donno was good,but he only played a couple of stints,charlie played the full 80,and iam not a big fan of charlie,but he kept going for the full 80,and made decent ground forward and saved a certain try when we were 16-10 down.

Disjointed is a better description but that would apply to both sides in attack. Some of that would be down to the conditions and some of it down to rustiness.

Rovers showed some steel which frankly I didn't think they had.

Apart from dropping a kick with no opposition player within 20 metres of him, resulting in a try, and throwing out terrible passes every time he joined in the line, he did just about ok. He wouldn't be in my top 10 today though!

It was like a first preseason friendly, we looked really rusty at times. So to come away with a point after not playing well at all is pleasing. we showed a lot of fighting spirit

Dane Tilse is still garbage too, Mulhern got dominated nearly every time he took it in, Thornley was going for a knock on record, Minns looked solid, Clarkson solid.

We lack physical stature & a bit of quality but to lack heart was unacceptable. At least we found that today. Cas should've closed it out though, point given away for them. Blair at stand-off was the right call, doubt we'll see Marsh for a bit.

Don't forget giving away a penalty on the 1st tackle whilst he was in possession and completely missing his only 1 on 1 tackle he was required to make.
Enthusiasm is the only thing Cockayne brings to the table and his deficiencies far outweigh this. He shouldn't be in our 17 unless there is no other option.

I think sio should be our full back,but chester appears to have changed his mind,if sio is fullback cockayne wouldn't be in the 17,dixon would be on the wing imo.

Wasn't it Ben who put Josh in for the last try? When he dropped that ball I said to my husband that will be the only thing certain people will remember about his game today.

Donno was MOTM by a country mile imho but i'd struggle to put 10 of the others above Ben if i'm honest.

Sio isn't a fullback

bens drop was bad but to give a penalty away while you have the ball is unfogivable and yes he did supply the last pass Trace, Green did one hell of a spell deserves credit for that. On a side note any news on our injuries from taday?

We don't have a fullback, we have 2 wingers in Sio and Dixon who have had a go at fullback and a utility player in Cockayne who's no longer very good in any position. The only other option is Shaw but Chester doesn't seem very confident about playing him.
