Why? Do you not think Moa would have added something to your squad, where your only props who've been selected consistently are Vella, Wheeldon and Lovegrove? I agree he's not a big name signing, but he would be a replacement of sorts for Aizue at least and would be an improvement on Mills and Watts.

Rovers were never interested it was paper talk and speculation.
He would have offered a decent hit up if fit and little else from what ive seen.
Im sure a Prop will be brought in and then you can compare the signing against Moa.

As already said, Moa wouldn't be a big name signing and it seems clear that Rovers will make one in the props as Aizue and Fozzard have gone and you're carrying Mills and Watts on the payroll but don't want to select them.

Moa is not our big name signing this season, he's 4th at best, so it would be a meaningless comparison. What I am saying is that he would be a decent replacement for Aizue (a squad prop) so why be "relieved" that he's not coming in that capacity when you've only 3 props to speak of now with the prospect of a big name prop coming in as well?

no not really he reminds me of brendan hill who was very effective in his own way 20 or so years ago but the games moved on.

Look around at the top teams in the division, by that I'm talking leeds, saints, Hudds, probably Warrington next year and even Wigan still. With the exception of the big Feka at Wigan I can't think of another single prop who has moa's body shape can you?

As for him not being a big name, that doesn't come into it, I'll take your point about better than mills but he hasn't been within a sniff of the first team virtually all year. I suspect you haven't seen much of Watts, he's a totally different player and as a young player might not make it but if he does he'll fit into the modern type prop profile. Moa would be no substitute for aizue and I would hope we could do a lot better.

Don't think any Hull fan is saying he is a massive signing in respect to he's a big name etc etc, just that from what we have seen he is liked and wanted.
With the high earners we already have I doubt anybody was expecting a big name, not with Fitz, O'Meley, Berrigan, Horne, Yeamo, Radford, Raynor all demanding big wages.
