a little harsh imo. just seen it on hkr tv, although the camera angle wasn't great i don't think it was in the same league as meli on hall. injured anyway, will be a big miss to the side.

So Patterson gets injured lamping Green and Meli gets injured lamping Hall.

There's surely a case for players playing within the spirit of the game, if for no other reason then they're more likely to injure themselves these days.

At least Patterson, unlike Meli, observed the first rule of Dismissal Club

i'm pretty sure patersons injury occurred after the green tackle, having been at the game. but i'm sure you must be correct.
