Hudds were taking the ball out on their own 10 and Mariano stole the ball fairly and crossed the line. The ref pulled him back for a 2 on 1 ball steal, it had nothing to do with a penalty try.

Agreed any one of them going to a 5 drive & kick to touch would have probably won the game at 12 - 10 up.
