Why wont he'If he carries on playing and improving at the rate he is doing then i think it will be virtualy impossible for Smith to leave him out of his plans,
My guess is he will get a call up within the next year.

Can't be that hard then; Yeaman is a snail (albeit a very strong one), Hall is flaky (even though he's a talent) and Briscoe has a lot to prove beyond busting tackles and showing physical strength in terms of being an international three-quarter.

As things stand Shenton should definately get the nod at left centre in the June test but I certainly think Whelam has a shot of playing for England in the future because his main strength - being a natural try scorer with a great reading of the game and that counts for a lot. I just think he needs to sort out his goal line defence.

If what the press are saying obout him & others in our clubs Hull,s clubs could provide Englands back line probably one of the halves & at least one black & white in the forwards (dont think any of our forwards are there yet)

All waffle of course, however the over riding factor is that England's ginner quota will be filled by graham for some years to come so welham has no chance
