I had the same thing....think you will have tried to release an immovable player in the academy who mysteriously doesnt leave the club!!!!

I had it twice with wigan in 2010 and it seems to be a glitch in the game when terminating a contract of a player in the academy! The player doesnt leave and then it crashes the game as the player is shown as ofloaded but still in the team! Also you cant not play that player in any games you have as if you dont select him he pops up on the selection himself.

You can only get round it by promoting the same player to the main squad and then terminating his contract. Since I did this I got no problems!

You have to put them into the main squad and then terminate their contract. They should go then. If youve already tried to rid them it will have them appearing as a SH or FB on your selection even when you already have a player there!!



Stick em in the main team, THEN terminate their contract and then they should go! I only realised after terminating the same guy 5 times (and paying 45k each time for the privelage....only to have him still appear in the listings....took me that long to realise something was up cos thought i must have terminated someone else by mistake!!!....it was only when it kept crashing after it I realised)

Sounds logical, I'll have to try. Although for the life of me I don't know which player it is!

Quick question; I have two alliance players who didn't quite reach their full potential during 2009, and both their contracts are about to run out. Is there a way of offering them a new alliance contract for a year? They're both potentially internationals and I don't want to lose them.

Don't think you can offer them Alliance contracts again, you have to promote them. I had a SH like that, was ready to take over Richie Myler, never fullfilled his potential. Got someone in the wings though, ready to take over from Tomkins.

The best potential fillers, I've think so anyway, are the Prop Forwards

I always have 2x 5* Developing Potential coaches on the staff. Then I just endlessly recruit new players to the alliance, and weed out any below national standard. It takes about a year to set up. But after that, you have a conveyor belt of talent. Don't rush to promote any player who reaches full potential, as you can only promote 12 in a year, and nothing is as frustrating as trying to promote that excellent international whose contract is about to run out, only to discover that you can't because you promoted 12 decent nationals earlier on.

I now only promote internationals, and keep the rest of the Academy ticking over with fully developed nationals. If I haven't promoted 12 internationals by season's end, then I can pick and choose from fully developed nationals depending on the positions I need. The result is I now have an international standard Academy as well as a first team, and in 2014 I completed Hemel Stags second clean sweep of all the honours at Alliance, Academy and SL level.


However, I do have a problem - no matter what I do I cannot persuade any world class players to come to the club, either at alliance or fully-pro level. Yet no matter how many hundreds of alliance players I've recruited, a world class one has never turned up. My club is fully equipped with maximum ground facilities and has pots of cash, but it looks like I'll never get world class players. This is a bit of a bugger because I need to start developing those players to improve the England squad for the world cups. Any tips would be most welcome.m

I know how you feel. Believe me...It so, so frustrating!

I've parked it for now. After 4 seasons of winning every club competition, and with nothing but internationals in SL and Academy sides, I still can't produce any world class players, or sign any. I've bought the very best international alliance players, fully developed them, promoted them, and just ended up with another international. That doesn't stop me winning all the club matches, but I'm desparate to get some world class to start beating the Aussies and Kiwis.

Hopefully, this will be addressed in a future patch. Maybe it could be another expenditure item on the club ground, and you could pay a large amount to establish a world class player support system, after which you can recruit/tempt world class players. Or maybe winning the league or CC should tip you into world class territory. Either way, it's the final hurdle which will have to remain for now.

Patch 2 is out folks. Hopefully there'll be something to address the above problem; but I'd doubt it. Anyone actually know what this patch has in it?

I don't know what it addressed, but it didn't address the issue of world class. I realised that there's no ability for the coach to accept offers from other clubs in this version, so I'm going to store my Hemel save games and restart as St Helens to see if they can get world class players.

Oh, and please, please, please can a future patch include the RLCP teams. I would pay money to be able to take South London Storm to Super League on this game. Seriously.

Well hopefully a third patch might address that. I really hope so, because it takes the mick.

The bad news is that as St Helens coach - again having clean sweep behind me - I still can't either produce or buy world class players at either alliance or 1st team level.

This may be a flaw. There's something in the patch notes for forthcoming patch 3 which says Alex is looking at this, so here's hoping.

Ohh, I'm excited now. Looks like the patch is projected for sometime after next Saturday so...Roll on then!

I would if Alex could provide a kit template, so we can create future kits for the teams, just an idea.

Anyone know if this patch has solved the world class problem? dont want to lose my saved game by re-installing but think it will be worth it and starting again if the patch actually means you can get WC players?

On my Warrington Wizards season, I cannot get past November 23rd 2011 because it keeps stopping responding. Help Please?

In the next game, i'd like to see the position of Scout available, and the ability to buy RU players.
