Right guys I'm thinking about running a challenge cup along side the league. Games will be played on the same weekend as challenge cup in real life so round 4 will be 7th may I believe?

As there is obviously 14 teams and not the 32 which play round 4 it would work like this:

Round 4: I will draw 4 teams to play this round. 2 losers go out.

Round 5: I will draw 8 teams to play this round. 4 losers go out.

Round 6 onwards will be last 8 so quarters then semis and final. All drew from a hat to make it fair. All games played same weekend as CC.

How does this sound?

Just another idea to throw out there... what's the chances of running the league again next year? My thought is that there may be people getting the game pre-owned by that time, and there may be more demand than there is now. With this in mind (and this is whether Altofts runs it again or someone else if he doesn't want to), how would people feel about a small area of my website devoted to preservation of the league's history?

I was thinking a page with the current league table, a page with the members of the league and their PSN IDs, POSSIBLY a face photo or avatar if people prefer, even quick profiles (nothing too revealing, obviously), and a roll of honour - awards handed out to the players with the biggest win, best defence, best attack, the wooden spoon, league leadership trophy, Grand Final trophy, Cup trophy (obviously these would have to be mocked up as we wouldn't be able to use the actual trophies for legal reasons).

And if an equivalent XBOX league/cup tournament was started, there could be a home for that too.

I may well be jumping the gun, but it's all in the name of fun.

I'm game for all of this, although I'm moving to Switzerland in September, and as we've gathered with playing our convict cousins on the PSN it's not the fastest... Judging by my current league position, it won't affect this season that much, but next season might be problematic... I suppose we could play it by ear...
Does this affect my franchise application?

If you like I will bash this one out. I'm gunna pick 2 games each round to be televised. I will do a little write up on these 2 games each round with my predictions as well to make it worth while.

As you are all happy for this to happen, I will crack on and get the draw done. I've made a few changes. To make it as fair as possible there is going to be 3 games in round 4. 3 winners go straight to round 6 (quaters). Then round 5 will have 3 games again from the other 8 competitors. 3 winners go to quarters. Then the 2 teams who did not get drawn will meet the 6 winners. This making up round 6. From then matches are drawn from hat and straight knock out footy.

I will do the draw tomorrow night for round 4. Gives people 24hours to make a change etc...

Not the best game but a wins a win. Had a try chalked off in first half. Not sure why then in second half Blaymire broke line and ran 50 yards to win it for me. Last 5 were nervous and I just Hung on.

Never seen as many interceptions haha.

First try your player randomly dropped it as I tackled you. For all the world should have been a try! Probably would have had a video ref decision on it if I hadn't requested a substitution.

Second try was a good break, defences were immense apart from that one lapse.

I didn't think we were going to see a try!
