I really hope we win this one and get a plum draw in the next round at home. Would help the club's finances no end as well after the Widnes friendly was cancelled.

If we did happen to get a SL club in the next round at home, I would suspect we would have to play at Bloomfield Road, as can't see us fitting more than 2-2.5k in the Woodlands (even though the internet claims it holds 9k!). I would like to think we could muster 500-750 home fans, which wouldn't leave much space for the away fans.

A real superleague team please as well. Not Quins/Catalans/Crusaders.
Then again if we got one of them teams then we would be able to keep it at Woodlands.

I'm sure the Panthers can come out on top of any seamen standing in their way to a the next round of the challenge cup.

juat to add to this, now confirmed on the club's site the nrc game with doncaster has been rearranged for 24th march on the wednesday before our next match wih swinton on the 28th.

Doncaster have a match on the 28th also.

Question is what's happened to the website! Updating the news when they get it before us finding out from other sources first!!

Oh and the Whitehaven cup game has been moved back to the Sunday. Now no longer clashes with the local soccer team playing.

I agree, the communications from the club aren't good - news like this should be on the official website first and done as soon as the info is known.

Seems now and again it may appear on Facebook but not everyone is on this nor the other social networking sites, some of us have lives to get on with!

Some of the Press coverage has been good, but keeping the fans up to date with the news/fixture changes etc is absolutely critical in building interest, awareness and an affinity with the team, especially with new supporters.

If they want to be taken seriously in this day and age an up to date web presence is absolutely critical.

Investing on the field is only part of the solution.

I was being positive! They have announced the change in the CC game and the NRC game on the site a couple of days back. Looks like it has had a minor revamp too. Future may be looking rosier re regular updates.

I take it the Donny game is a "dead rubber"? If so I would like to think we'll give the fringe players a run as the game v Swinton 4 days later is way more important.

Good to see they've moved the Haven game as well, it would have been insanity to play on a Saturday. Not only as it clashes with BFC but also as people have other commitments with Amateur RL and suchlike. We have to do all we can to maximise our attendances.
