I believe the game being referenced is the Championship game in Toulouse on 22/08/2009 which the Dons lost 52-6.

Oh yeah, I forgot we'd even played them in the league...and here's me all this time thinking it was talking about the cup game! (Didn't think the scoring pattern described seemed familiar)

quite correct - Donny scored in the last few seconds (Vento) to avoid getting nilled - the travelling fans (about thirty of them) were ecstatic cos' they had something to cheer about,those that were still sober that is.............

We actually had a few beers before the game, but was not drunk. We were actually happy to have not have been nilled and was enjoying the weekend.

If you had seen us later that night, we definately was not sober by the end.

we sat just behind about thirty Donny fans in the stand and we jumped up and chered as loudly as you lot when you scored - the lads worked hard all game and it was great to see their fans rewarded with a score

didn't realise until after that the man sitting next to us was your chairman who was great company and really positive about the future - you've got a good man there methinks....

thanks sanjunien i was lucky enough to attend that game with my son we were made extremely wellcome from the moment we arrived by everyone at your club it was a brilliant weekend my son still talks about it today,i can remember shaking hands with many toulouse fans and cheek kissing the female fans thats how to mix with fans of both teams . another reason to win promotion so we can visit you again..

yeh,it would be great to see you lot again so hurry up and get promoted ! - TBF all the fans from the Championship have been great,in fact I can't recall a bad bunch win or lose.I have a special affinity to Donny as they used to be the closest pro or semi-pro RL team to our town in East Anglia.

Toulouse is a great city and has a lot to offer the traveller and the TO13 hospitality is second to none which is how all clubs should be surely ?

i dont think the said player doing the rounds is currently playing for anybody, he was released from a fellow championship one club earlier in the year, interestingly due to financial reasons

No problem with the fact that the report states that ... however we still have to tread carefully in terms of what is said in the sense that this is not yet proven (the protocol still is 'innocent until proven guilty').

One thing is for sure, the League Weekly has thus-far been very supportive of Shaun's situation and very anti-The Sun for what it believes is sensationalistic journalism with little substance behind it.

yeh,I did buy it - it was David Bates' away shirt, ironically it was bought from Leafy !!!! Shaun was really good about it and even managed to get all this years squad to sign it for me including Carl & Tony.
By the way,I sponsored David Bates last season which is really rubbing salt in the wound ! would anyone like his (DBs) email address to send comments ? Just 'pm' me..........
