lmao. you can clearly get the train from sheff to manchester. i did it evey week day for a year. then hop on a train to wigan/leigh and your sorted. ignore google maps my friend.

Bus to Leigh no 26 , walk to ground

Ask frankb on our site he lives in Salford , gets the bus/train about 4 times a week

Thanks for the tip. I checked on another website today and yes I can do train from Sheff to Manch then to Newton-le-willows then bus to near the ground.

Go on Google Maps and try getting a route from USA to Japan. They suggest you kayak from Cali!

Buses from Newton aren't great on a Sunday - you'll be better served going to Manchester and jumping on a 26 bus from Shudehill bus station.

There are no buses from Newton-le-Willows train station on a Sunday. The 34 bus that comes from St Helens, only operates to Newton-le-Willows and does not continue to Leigh on Sundays.
