I was choosing between "gaggle" of geese, "pack" of dogs but went with the far more appropriate "flange" of baboons.

flange refering to a group of baboons was actually made up. its not the true term for a group of baboons. it was originally a mistake or typo of somekind that became repeated so often people just stopped questioning it

Not so much a mistake as an intentional gag on the hilarious Not the Nine O Clock News Gerald the Gorilla skit. But it is being used today as a result. That's why I chose it!
