| That would be bad for you would it not? Although I'm sure you'll have no problem filling the gap with equal if not better quality.

I'd expect an announcement about a replacement pretty soon after the playoffs are over..

| Not bothered in the slightest, although I can't say I'm that excited by his reported replacement. Duffy can turn it on in big games no doubt but always seems to be carrying a knock or injury and appears to me to be nowhere near fit enough.
If I remember rightly, last year (I think) he was out long term with a hand injury. SM said he'd be sending people round to his house, making sure he was getting as trim as possible and doing loads of cardio work to improve his fitness. I thought "Great" a lean and fit John Duffy, just what we could do with. On his 1st game back, he looked as unfit as ever. Also start of this year, there's no excuse for why a pro rugby player, playing in a halfback role can't get himself fit in the off season.
Talented player, but had his chance and we'll move on.

Duffy is another player that has spent a lot of time on the sidelines receiving treatment. But I admit that I would have liked to keep him in the same way that we would have liked to have kept Morro and Fletch if there was money to spare under the cap!!
With the news that SOC is committed to putting a strong side together next year I'm less worried than I would have been 3 - 4 weeks ago.

Echo all of the above. Good player on his day but very unfit. Need a decent hooker to spell with Smithy. Could have been a good option for next year but with his being injured quite a bit the money will be spent better elsewhere.

| Bit harsh to call Duffy on his fitness this season - he has had some horror stories with injuries and still volunteered to play games even when not fully recovered.
Pretty hard to be putting in time in the gym with the various injuries he's had.
I think he'll do very well for Leigh in Championship 1.
