the defence might need improvement but that attack is just immense on a occations.

Ben Black tonight was simply Brilliant especially for that trademark break through the defence and step round the full back.

Well done 'fax.. Even though I rubbed my hands with glee at your sharp dip in form and comical displays from butter fingers Black I'm glad you're in the final and I seriously hope you shut money bags Johnson up and thrash them at the Dire Dome.

tonight you saw the other side of him and why he is so dangerous at this level.

he was simply awsome tonight.

we moved penky to 9 as well and the quickness of the play of the balls sometimes was just to much for them.

but have to go back to black he was stunning tonight.

I wouldnt have said Black was awesome but he did have a decent game, i thought Penkywicz was very good scooting from the PTB he caused Fev no end of problems at times. Dave Larder also deserves a special mention for a very solid display.

James Haley for his towering jumps for the ball. he always seems to get it.

you know that try Black Scored when he ran through there defence and stepped the full back was a cracking try.

Giving praise is one thing, giving a running list of events and making us feel poop is another.

Playing Govin at 6 again and you starting winning? Go figure.

I thought it was a pretty even contest but it all seemed to change when Andy Kain had a nightmare 10 minutes. I think he 1st gave a penalty away, then kicked into touch on the full and then knocked on all of which allowed Halifax to put the pressure on. Without that passage of play, who knows what might have happened?

I thought it was a typical Fax performance, looked 2nd best for much of the 1st half, but when it clicks for them, no-one can score as quickly as them. No matter what lead you have, its almost never safe when you play Fax. Fax defence seemed much imroved than of late, probably becuase they have seemed to have found the will to win again.

1) Sackings ...... Clarke wanted to step down, as he said on many occasions including last week on Sky after the Fax match. Deakin HAD to go for his behaviour at the club. Any Chairman/BOD would have made the same decision.

2) Statements ..... So you believe everything you read ? Going by your criteria, Calland must also be an 'arrogant prick' (your words) for his infamous 'Country Mile' comments - which was far worse than anything DJ has said this season.

3) Lifting the Cup ..... The RFL instructed Barrow that Des would recieve the cup at 7:15pm prior to the Fax match. The e-mail to that effect was posted on the Barrow forum by Jon Livesey (Barrow Vice-Chairman).

It's all a bit different when you know the facts, isn't it.

I can't think of any other teams in this sport or others in which the chairman is presented with a trophy for success on the pitch.
I still can't believe this happened to be honest... and find it absolutely hilarious..

Dress it up all you want, but you won't kid anyone that Des received the trophy because he wanted to and probably feels like he deserved it.

That was even more entertaining than the ravings of Mad Des himself.
