Barrow – Andy Ellis (On a par with Smithy IMO)
Halifax – Said Thamghart (would add fire to our pack)
Sheffield – Menzie Yere (Try machine and big powerfull we’ve missed)
Whitehaven – Greg McNally (still best they have and big prospect!)
Featherstone – Stuart Dickens (Tough reliable prop)
Gateshead – Nick Youngquest (Top quality FB)
Batley – Jermaine McGillvery (Explosive winger)
Leigh – No-one?

Jimmy Taylor (solid pack man)
Toulouse – Martin Mitchell (little git but skilful and versatile)
Doncaster – Mike Coady (good prospect and 1 still there for now)

Don’t think that’s too bad! Tried to look at specific to Widnes rather than just best player at each club etc!

Barrow - Does Rooney count? If not, Nixon. He is the centre right? not the winger.
Halifax - Penkywicz or Beswick. Probably the two most gifted in the league for me.
Sheffield - Menzie Yere, agreed. Don't they have another big PNG player though?

Featherstone - Andy Kain?


Gateshead - Michael Knowles - like an efficient Mick Nanyn
Batley - I don't know any Batley players


Leigh - the big second row. Chris Hill is his name right?
Toulouse - Villegas, a centre I think?
Doncaster - None of them. Coady belongs to Leeds by the way, will be at Headingley or Whitehaven next year.

There's only about 3 out of that lot i'd take over the side we have now tbh!

As for Andy Kain, get a grip, like banging yer ex who was pretty dull the first time.

Why is that ? Barrow finished top of the league which makes us at least one of the best 2/3 teams outside SL. He's been at Barrow for 3 years and has come on in leaps and bounds since signing in 2007.

If he goes anywhere it will be to SL and good luck to him if that happens.

Absolutley gash !!! Most over rated player outside SL without a doubt. Even haven fans dont rate him

edmo you mean we would have loved to have him again next season but his 2 years off from the NZ police is over and hes going back home

I'd like to see Dickens from Fev, a ball playing prop forward who's aggresive and can kick goals. Black and Penky from Fax would be nice, or Ellis.

Don't let 1 season where others have played well cloud your judgement! Defensively none are better and working behind in a winning pack, same again... we'll see when Morro & Co are smashing into your boys next week

It would seem harsh vicar of Widnes, not to choose anyone from Leigh just because the RFL decided to relegate them from 9th spot. To bracket them with Donny is also a bit unfair. Let's remember that Leigh did the double over Donny and finished 33 points ahead of them in the league. They also finished with more wins than Batley and the same number as Gateshead, as well as obviously finishing level on points with these two teams. In addition, Leigh did the double over the team in third- Sheffield and the team in fourth - Widnes. They also recently pasted Toulouse 26-6 and put nearly 50 on Whitehaven, who of course finished fifth. The league was very competitive for the most part and Leigh only finished with two wins less than Widnes and Sheffield. All this would suggest that they do have some talent at this level. Players such as Higson, Mort, Nanyn, Hill, Donlan, Taylor, Alstead, Stanton etc. would be an asset to any team in this division.

It does make me laugh that according to Leigh fans all there players are great even though they went down? Lol.

None of the players in this league are great. In fact you would struggle to find any truly great players in Super League either. The point I am making is that apart from Donny, all teams were competitive and they were until nearly all their players were poached. When you look at the facts from the season, eg games won and points gained, it would seem that Leigh should be placed in a bracket with teams they finished level with, just in front of or a couple of points behind, rather than 33 points in front of. Nobody is trying to say that any team has great players, just that it is a bit harsh to dismiss Leigh as not having any one single player that could benefit another club at what isn't even the highest level of rugby in the country, purely because they were relegated. I hope people remain ignorant as to the talents of players such as Hill and Higson and their ability to play very well at this level. However, I don't believe they will.

I can't believe its not ben black black (butter) would be a good signing for any side. But saying that royston seems to give 100% every game so i would go with him.

Hardman(Featherstone) Not for quality but does not put a foot wrong.
Yere(sheffield) Can play a well higher standard than what he is playing.
Amor(Whitehaven)Always goes forward and hard working.
Villegas(Toulouse) because i cannot remember who else decent who plays for them.
