Seriously though, that is a cracking average for Widnes and I have no doubt that you will be in SL in 2012 and prove a credit to the competition. Keep your powder dry, don't overstretch (I cant see your sugar daddy doing that anyway) and you are a shoo in.

Hopefully a return to Sunday rugby can tip us over the 4,000 barrier as that would look alot more impressive if teams still on 3 or under!

Once the mighty Fax take this years GF our attendances will soar like an eagle. I fully expect our average to be 4,000 next year - wot wiv our new stand an 'all. Tickety box.

Same! This has been your best season in yonks and played brilliant rugby, so why didn't they turn up then? Will the new stand make a differnce? We have two empty one's pretty much every week!

Just cos you have a trophy doens't neccesairly mean an extra 1,500 will walk throug the door as they'd of been there by now IMO! Maybe an extra few hunderd but that's all!

all we can ask for is progress, its slow at the minute but constant! 3years ago we were on bout 1600ave, and now nearly 2400!

Nes, don't suppose you have the figures for last year do you to form a comparison?
Obviously last year had the grand old game against Salford but I'm interested to know what it looks like since we moved the matches to anyday other than Sunday and whether the lack of promotion has had an effect.

Yes. We are opening a youth club under the new stand. We are also building a youth hostel on the site. We are dedicating both of these ventures to Yootha Joyce - God rest her soul.

Well you do need to give the club's young chav element somewhere to go in the off-season!

Workin on it as we speak... Would imagine it'd be higher... We had approx 12% more season ticket holders last year for starters...

When you consider the Salford attendance last seasn, and the fact Gateshead had 14 travelling fans Toulose - 0 , every visiting team brought fewer fans and we had less season tickets it not to shabby ...

Very interesting indeed mate. Even taking into account the loss of away fans from some teams and the attendance of the Salford game does this look like our experiment with Non-Sunday rugby failed??

I personally think it would have been better had we been able to play on Friday nights or Saturday nights but the chopping and changing every week and the occasional Thursday night thrown in for good measure meant I didn't know when we were playing half the time and had to use the fixture list like never before.

Makes you wonder what it must have been like for the casual fan that comes and goes throughout the season when the interest piqued.
