| ....of sorts.
Given that everyone expects you (and believes you deserve) to get a licence in the next lottery.....sorry, application round, do you have any players that you think will be of SL standard in your current junior ranks. You know what I mean....along the lines of a burgess or westerman. These kids would now be about 18yrs old and without doubt, Wire and Wigan would be sniffing around them. Well, maybe not Wigan what with Nobles attitude to young homegrown talent
Serious question........even though it sounds like a carry on joke...."what have you got in your pipeline"?

| Anthony Mulally, Danny Hulme are two that instantly stand out. 2 Widnesians too.

I've seen his name crop up before and have to ask.
Any relation?

And will your benefactor do everything in his powere to keep them? It would be great to see a club like Widnes come up and field a team full of local talent...that's what the whole licence thing is supposed to be about, rather than getting a licence and then taking on some middle of the road Kolpak, ocker players..........sorry, talking about wigan again

Could be talking about quite a few of them but in your defence london are doing their part against the odds to bring in some youngsters. Well done with that.
But this new licensing era of super league has not nearly shored up the problems they said it would in terms of overrated aussies coming over here. If anything the problem has been exacerbated. We're getting worse players now. Teams like Bradford are importing really average talent when a youngster will do.

Agreed...and that's why I ask. Teams that play the short term game (ie...import average players on big wages) will come unstuck, whilst I believe that clubs that play the long game will benefit in the end.....What odds Widnes v Quins at OT in 2018?
Jesus....now that would cause a stir

Yes thats right, also hasn't Paul Hulme got a lad who plays at Warrington? Then there's Ben Karalius who's at Saints. We've got a few of our own but there could have and should have been more.

| I think Ben Kavanagh will mature into a real good player come super league time. Naturally big and strong and is a really powerful lad. As others have said Danny Hulme and Anthony Mullally. I would also suggest Paddy Flynn will get better over the next couple of years.

| Paddy Flynn, seems to be taking every chance he gets lately very well. Pace to burn and always looks to get involved in the centre field. A kind of Damien Blanch winger in the sense of the graft he gets through.
