Friendlies mean fook all and I aint really bothered about results. I always used pre season as a lung burster and to blow off the cobwebs. If we are going to judge teams on Friendlies then watch out for Hunslet - they walloped Wakefield

I've been a little worried for a while but friendlies do indeed mean nothing. Plus we didn't have a full team out and Salford did. But we're going to suffer from Cullen's absence and we don't have the strongest squad in the league IMHO.

I'm hoping we're competitive, if we are we should be in the driving seat for a license. If we're not its an excuse to leave us out and the RFL will look for one.

I agree gary.We be in the top 3 at the end of the season.Some players where bad today but i know they can play better.If i was a coach i be looking to improve our kicking game and less penalties and discipline.

I believe Wilkinson is working on getting Lomax from St Helens and Farrell from Wigan.

Not a chance will we get Lomax, He is the next big thing trust me. Wellens will be injured more often than not this year and Jonny will be his replacement. More than happy to be proved wrong mind !

I would love lomax as he can kick goals aswell.But i got a feeling he will play regular for saints.I think he is better than wellens now.

If Wellens is fit he will always get picked over Lomax, as Asterix says though if Wellens is out then Lomax will be in.

Hope we can get lomax to be honest as we need a goalkicker.This worries me a little and our kicking game in play.

Regarding the dual contract situation, I have heard we are looking at getting more youngsters from Saints. It has been disappointing that we've already got Dean yet he hasn't featured whatsoever, but I suppose as soon as the season starts and teams get their squads settled then the dual contract will come into play.

Lucky Coyle didn't land on him, could have been the last we saw of Fitz if he had.

At least you have had an early chance to see Coyle`s "talent". It takes some players ages to show what they can really do.

I am sorry to play devil's advocate, but on TIW they really are making a mountain out of a molehill. I don't remember this 'hoo haa' when TOC did it to the Salford bench in 2005, our last season of SL. As for the scrap did look like hand bags. Neither deserved to see red, but that tit with the whistle wanted us all to watch him, as opposed to rugby league.

tbh it was a careless challenge rather than having any malicious intent. Certainly didn't warrant a red card imo, neither did the ensuing handbags from Fitzpatrick.

I'll reserve judgement on any of our players until I've seen them playing competitively for a number of games.
