I wouldn't say we were cheated, Barrow were the better side overall. However we were the victim of some shocking decisions at crucial times.
When we were winning 10-8 there were 3 poor decisions that led to a try and at 26-16 that wasn't a try. If we're going to start accepting tries like that we may as well give up.
However we should have been out of the game by that point anyway.

| yeh barra where the better side on the night because at crucial times in the game or decision making was terriable as it was last week against fev.. if we want to get to the grand final we need to improve in every department at play like we did against fax in the semi and the league game at home cos we were brilliant in those games and now were terribale

The tries scored came from good running by the dummie half and good yards by the forwards. the likes of thackery and webster were non-exsistant, didnt notice webster atall.

| Well, I agree that Barrow were the better side, but I expected you to win it alot sooner than you did.
I disagree about the half backs, Thackeray looked dangerous at times and put in some very good one on one tackles, Webster was quiet for his own standards but still an important player for us.
I wouldn't harp on about the loan signings much, Penny was int he team at the expense of Paddy Flynn and bar his howler on the high ball was probably our best player. And Houghton stepped into Pickersgill's shoes pretty well. Our problem tonight was the loss of Kohe-Love, Duffy, Fletcher and Morrison which disrupted how we play, particuarly the loss of Duffy who freshens up the acting half back role when he comes on. Hopefully all back for Haven and the play-offs and we'll have a good go at it.

Jon Grayshon, currently on a season long loan from Quins, been a good signing for us seems out of favour at Quins and I wouldn't be surprised to see him stay next year.
Flynn and Dodd were our best players, two players who will always give 100% no matter what.

| There were some baffling decisions given by the ref and V-ref last night. We were beaten by the better side on the night though, so I can't argue with the result.
We just had too many injuries to compete with Barra, despite some good, solid performances from some of our youngsters. Flynn, and Houghton did well and Ostick played well until he went off with that head injury. He wasn't the same player when he came back on.
Our forwards were out-muscled and this made it difficult for our halfbacks to operate successfully. Dodd was our MOM imo.
This game was all about Jamie Rooney. The lad was pure class last night.

Re read my post sssllllooooowwwwwwlllllyyyyy
What I put roughly translates into :-
I WOULD RATHER HAVE WON THE NRC FINAL AND HAVE THE SILVERWEAR IN THE CABINET THAN BE SAT ON TOP OF THE TABLE.
However should we win the Championship Grand Final then that would make up for it.

Please now stop dont be daft how the hell can you say that was a 50/50 ??????????
Knock on first , then it should have been play on advantage Widnes and it was not advantage us and Barrow scored ???
Even if Gaskell would not there you saying it would have stood as a try ??
How the fooooking hell do you work that one out ??
One of the strangest things I`ve seen since starting watching the Ruggers way back early 80`s
Anyway Barrow better team was looking to be anyones but Barrows trys were comical . well done baroooowwww

I also thought he played well and it seems everyone that comes near him gets smashed
some of the tackles he put on last night where furious, especially the try saver in the first half
Grady and Kavanagh played well of the bench i thought which is a positive sign seen as we will probably be playing more young'ens next season
Shocking decisions to allow Ballards try and im still in shock today
We where very lucky not to concede more in the first half though because eveytime they attacked down our right with Catic and Harrison they looked they they where going to score everytime and got a few lucky moments espically when they had numerous overlaps

It did read the other way around to me
Listen we in playoffs for sure, can see Toulouse getting 90 on Leigh but not quite 150 so if Fletch / Morro / Kohe not 100% rest them! We gonna hve to do playoffs the hard way regardless!

The only try I struggled to understand was Ballards. I am unsure on the ruling for using your chest but why isn't it deemed a knock on when a player uses his chest to control the ball from a Kick Off ? I honestly think Hewer didn't know what to rule as there isn't a ruling that states you cannot use your chest to control the ball - Ballard was onside when the ball hit the players chest so rightly chased it and plonked it down. That is the only explanantion I can come up with for why it was given
'"
Comical as in the way they were scored ie Flynns help, Knock on then a try and as soon as Rooney got the ball with 45 secs left you just knew he would sail through and score because we looked brused and battered.
IMO it was a mental battle last night and they out powered us due to the last week or 2 we have had giving our great friends in super dooper league players back .
We defo missed Duffy and Morrison but all credit to the team on show they gave 100 %

| Can't ask for more. The score was not indicative of the two teams performances. I was flabberghasted by the referee at times. I think at certain crucial times he punished us, it really could have gone either way.
I mean punishing the play the ball! If you do that once, you better be sure you watch ever single ptb from then on right? Well he didn't because Barrow failed to get to their feet on a number of occasions.
Really annoyed. Not as annoyed as last night. I've calmed enough to admit Barrow deserved to win. We were missing a lot of players so it's fair enough.

| Leahy is always erratic. Why didn't he refer Dodds 'try' to the video ref ??
Regarding the penalties for ptb, Widnes were warned after 2 dodgy ptb's on the bounce. The next play the ball wasn't touched bhy the foot so a penalty was given.
I though Widnes played pretty well considering the players not available, but I thought our pack was always on top and that Widnes would run out of steam up front. That's pretty much what happened after 60 minutes or so.
I have a strange feeling we will play you again this season.
