Never seen Blackwood play so can't comment on his abilities. I will also stick to my guns that I DONT like loan signings and would much prefer a contracted player (better if local to). Still loan signings are a bit better than dual contract players but not ideal.

Its ok mocking Barrow for all these loan signings etc.. but you still have those dual contract players who are as good as loans and if they are taken out of the widnes team your pack looks ordinary at best.

Fair enough we have 2 loan players. But it was inevitable to an extent, we have a small squad this year due to salary cap reductions as have most others.

Blackwood on a 2 month loan, understandable as we only have 1 centre in the squad in Liam Harrison.

McGilvaray on a month by month deal to cover for Nixon who broke his arm at Leigh and is out for 12 weeks minimum.

Its not building a squad for a campaign which relies on 4 players from another club as some have done.

Blackwood was crap at Leigh, well done Barrow.

While I don't really want to dignify you with a response HatedAndAdored, purely because of your cretinous avatar picture, I will explain it for the other users of this forum.

The terms of the loan and I believe DR contracts is that the players must play when fit, after all its pointless signing them if they are not going to play.

This means that if you take the full allocation as yourselves and Leigh did, 23.5% of your 17 man playing squad belong to another club and can be recalled at any time with only 24 hours notice. Regardless of how good your full squad is, that will cause significant issues for any team in this league should it happen. Without suggesting all players would be recalled at once, I would still call that a risk to any team wishing to challenge for honours.

You believe wrong. Some clubs may make that a stipulation but Widnes certainly do not have that clause in the DR deals. BTW we only have 2 DR players Farrell and Dean who hasn't really played for us yet so you can't say we are building a team around them.

It doesn't matter if Barlow spat at him, to glorify a player running at someone nowhere near the ball with his elbow and knocking him out is utterly pathetic. You cleary have never played the game before or you'd have more respect for injuries and not wanting to see that on the field. Infact you've clearly never played life very well if you think on ANY level that is acceptable. It doesnt matter who anyone supports, what their players do in other games etc etc, what Haggerty did, on its own as a singular event, was shocking. Simple as. Grow up.

spot on. As an ex-player myself and now coaching young kids I find the avator picture sickening and nothing to be proud of.

Anyone can put a pair of boots on and dish out assault, trust me I have dealt with a few, but to some how glorify it using in an avator pic is 'negligent' to say the least.
