Just wondering (match excepting), how did you find your first visit to the Leigh Sports Village stadium?

You have a great facility, it's just a shame you're a nasty little club with fans who have delusions of granduer.

Look mate. Leigh fans are so far up their own when they have no reason to be.

At the start of the 2006 season they ridiculed with extreme arrogance that they would get promoted instead of my club Hull KR despite the fact we beat them to the signature of at least 6 players that season.

I don't like the club or their fans and a club with as poor attitude as they have, has no place in the top-flight.

Next time SL franchises come round, I hope to see a Widnes/Halifax and Toulouse - Leigh have had their chance and blown it through their own arrogance.

I'd say Hull KR fans were the most arrogant before the 2006 season. There were some very outlandish statements going about.

I've no problem with the 1500 or so HKR fans who watched them when the likes of little Leigh walloped them regularly.

Zod does his club no favours,supporters like him that make other fans detest their club, hes a c0ck and a smelly one at that.

True that we walloped them regularly, but wrong about their crowds AD - I think you will find, if you look back, that their average has always been around 50,000!

(even allowing for the bad times, which they conveniently forget!)

Shame you can only manage a crowd of 2500 for your cup final in your shiny new stadium,against your big rivals. Imo the rfl got it spot on in not giving you a franchise and theres absolutely no chance of you getting one next time round either

As I said on your board.. it is a fantastic stadium.. One of the finest in RL and it would be fantastic if it ever got anywhere near full (or even half full

In my opinion Salfud would be best served in building something similar instead of holding out for this 'iconic' ground that they are supposedly holding out for.

Bit of a nightmare getting there in terms of traffic and expensive getting in but once inside it was great.

As I said in my post on the Leigh board.. best view from a ground in Rugby League in Britain.

thats rich coming from a hull kr fan , a club that over the years has had more than any other its nasty section of fans that the club are blinkered to

Great little stadium, and better than alot of SL grounds.

The only problem you have is that everything costs so much! Until you sort that out with whoever owns the facility you won't fill it.

Unfortunately the Stadium Management Company and the catering company that won the contract seems to think you can charge Superleague prices for Championship matches. Until they get that into their thick heads they are limiting the amount of money they can actually make. Most people are refusing to pay their prices and a lot of fans are refusing to pay the £14/16 to watch Championship rugby.

Would be interested to find out how long the catering contract is for as I think that's a major gripe, though not [ithat[/i much more than a lot of grounds these days. Could be worse, while the admission prices again aren't [ithat[/i much more than a lot of other grounds - at least the parking is free.
