Well tbf the referee lost the plot which enticed the players to take some matters into their own hands, but the game erupted into a mass brawl, Ainscough swinging his fists like nobodies business and knocking one lad out cold.
Then he and a Warrington player (who was also sent off) were walking off, Ainscough a few paces ahead. Next thing Ainscough turns round and starts throwing punches left, right and centre which sparks off another mass brawl. Ainscough is then shown a red card so I'm guessing the first was only a yellow which just about sums up the referees incompetence today.
