According to one report I read this morning 'Batley had a full squad out for this dead rubber match'. None of the amatuer sides got spanked by that much. Question is, were Batley that good or were Gateshull that poor?

Just a quickie, as I know this is not that important to you, but batley had a fullish squad out(no Handforth for instance but Wood in to replace) but they had the chance to finish top of the group, and collect the small cash prize that goes with that. . . . so I guess they were reasonably motivated.
Gateshead were poor though, and it will indeed be a long hard road to the end of the season for them.
