Are you sure it wasn't that he'd just collapsed with exhaustion.

I did wonder whether he had grounded it being sat in the east side of the north stand but that conclusively proves that he did.

I thought we looked really good with both Coyle and Smith on the pitch at the same time. I'd say it was his best spell in a Widnes shirt. They really drove the game to Barrow and had them completely on the back foot.

Coyle actually looked better as a half back rather than a 9, I suppose he's still developing in that role though.

When I watched Vikings highlights against Thunder, he just seemed to slow your attack down. Smith would dart off from acting half back and cause a lot of problems. Where as Coyle just didn't.

Believe it or not Coyle has more ability taking on the defence than Smith does, Smithy is faster over 10 metres but coyle is quite difficult to tackle when he takes on the line. Smith as a general organiser and defensive player is better than coyle but you would expect that given his experience.
