Following on from some interesting debates on the VT I thought we should have some of our own!

This one is a good one I think.

Both hard as nails and always stood up to be counted.
Both local lads.
Both made maybe 500+ appearances between them (I stand corrected on the actual figure cos Linesy's and Foxy's website is down)
Both gained GB Caps most notably in 1988 Test win at SCG.
Both able to play at SH and then latterly in the back row.
Both won every trophy in the game (except Paul who didn't appear at Wembley for CC in '84, I think Dave was on the bench in '84?)

But who was the better player?

Bloody hell now that's tough, both are in my top 5 widnes player list. Jeez it's tough but I would side with david.


Both are legends though and china didn't half punish players (just ask our current coach)
