The sweet poignancy and good fortune of Elland Road, Millenium Stadium, and now Wembley(2), can never be taken away though.
The smell, the taste, the euphoria.
They will be forever locked in the memory bank of life.
One more time, maybe?

Definitely a downer today not being there after two wonderful finals and all that went with them - the excitement of the build up, travelling down, post match celebrations and the the homecoming (23,000 at City Hall last year will live long in the memory).

Still we have to remember that only two clubs have ever won the Cup three years in a row and our aim now is to match Warrington who won it three times in four years between 2009 and 2012.

Warrington could also end up with another Wembley record, The first team to lose to Hull at Wembley.
And the first team to lose a Challenge cup at Wembley to a team outside of England.

Just watched the Roosters v Brisbane game as a starter.
If our final is half as good I'll be chuffed.

Last time I saw the cup it was in the hands of someone from Hull so we haven't really lost it.

Attendance: 50,672 (The lowest since 1937 if you discount the war years.)

The two tiers that were open have a capacity of 50,835 (the top tier that holds just over 39,000 was closed). Looking at the number of unoccupied seats on the TV i'm not convinced about the accuracy of the official attendance.

Very enjoyable game though!

sign of things to come regarding attendance.final is marketed poorly,but it doesn't help when you have teams from overseas in final.it will get worse if teams like Toronto and Toulouse get promoted.rl expansion sounds good on paper,but the reality is these teams do not bring the speccies through the turnstiles.

Great to see a new name on the cup and well done to Steve mac on masterminding 2 great wins against saints and wire. They won it playing a very similar game to us, which is no surprise given he and radford played together at the bulls

By similar Jake you mean how they move the ball quickly,lots of offloads from the forwards and a full back that not only joins the attack well but can pass a ball.

cats played like hull did the last 2 years when we had success, no frills no mistakes take them on down the middle,

No, I mean they keep it tight, always use the back 3 for the first 3 drives of a set and regularly give their forwards a breather set with all of the back line taking a drive. They also keep the ball pretty tight down the middle

I'm just pleased it wasn't Chris (Ref he bit me) Hill lifting the Cup.
