On current form and with no return on the horizon for Kelly, Connor, Westerman, Bowden, Green or Hadley I can't see us getting much joy from this set of fixtures, but ideally we'd want to avoid Catalans away - temperatures in South of France going to push 40 degrees in the coming weeks (plus additional cost for the club I'm sure we could do without).

Cheers, that makes more sense - I'd thought it was just odds and evens. Fortunately would still mean us avoiding a trip to France!

Well the league tables contained on there show all except Cas having played 23 games. So I assume its correct.

Plus even if Cas beat Widnes, they can't catch Wigan, so unless I'm mistaken it will stay the same. ???

I couldn't care less who we are playing and where, its inconsequentional. The season now is about trying to work on a few things to take into next year. Whether we finish 5th or 8th doesn't interest me in the slightest tbh. 7 dead rubbers. Better than scrapping for survival in the middle 8s, but I cant get excited about it.

Whatever way you look at it the season has been a big disappointment. Yes there are mitigating circumstances which have perhaps taken it out of our hands, but ateotd we have missed all of our targets by a long way. What is left of the season is basically like that 3rd place play off in the WC. I didn't care about that either.

I care everytime hull fc take the pitch, yes it might not be the ending we wanted but I will still be rooting for the lads and hoping we can turn in some decent performances

I want to see us show a bit of fight and show a bit more promise with ball in hand, but the results dont matter. If we have a repeat of 2015 where we lose 6/7 but come away with plenty of positives then I am fine with that.

Looks like the "as it stands" fixtures still has us in 5th and Hudds in 8th place

Because we live in the goldfish bowl that is Hull FC, nothing’s simple. Rumours of Radford’s demise or Pearson losing interest or dressing room unrest abound. Radford can’t make wholesale changes so he’s got to go with who’s available and a lot of those players are walking on one leg. Confidence is almost nonexistent, so the Super 8 games are probably a bridge too far but I personally don’t want to see them capitulate in every game. Like most on here, I’ll go and stay to clap them off the pitch but I do want supreme effort, oh and I’d love to see a bit more attacking structure near the line, even this happy clapper is sick of 5 drives and a sodding kick to the corner, I’m pretty sure the players are

Confirmed games (dates announced on Wednesday)

It would be a smart move for the club to play the Cas and Wakefield games on a Saturday or Sunday and try and get more away fans in, as I cant see us getting much walk up crowd at all with nothing to play for.

Depends which weekends our three home games fall. Hull City have home games on 18th August and 1st, 15th and 29th September.

… and Wembley is on 25th August.
