I continue to read that each and every half-decent COHA prospect is ringfenced to Hull KR. Is that correct?

Seems a bit strange given that we have a big cohort of players coming through to first team - Masi, Downs, Fash, Lane, Logan, Turgut and co.

Don't know the names involved, although I did notice Mikey Lewis getting big raps for his debut yesterday. Just as a general point. I don't much about the academy set up and players coming through at all - barely knew who Jordan Lane was for example. Who are the key players coming through Hutchie and who are they reserved for. Or has the draft process been implemented now?

Mikey Lewis is a 1st year academy player (u17 age group).

None of that age group are ring fenced, players like Jay Lennon, Kai Ruiz, Brad Fix, Liam Betts and Conner Wynne/Ness.

Any above that are still ring fenced, for FC the likes of Jack Brown, Jordan Webster ,Harry Whittles, Lochlan Fitgerald and Bobby Downs.

Ones for KR are Tom Jubb, Adam Rooks, Harry Hutchie , Owen Harrison, Elliot Wallis

And if you look back at a previuus COHA thread on here I tipped Jordan Lane to be in the next ones to break through

Mikey Lewis and family are big Hull fans, so he will sign for Hull if we want him.

From the COHA, Brown is the pick of the Hull players, I also like the look of Kieron
Buchanan. Rovers best two academy players were signed from other academies.

Pick from the 16's and one will need to be signing is Will Tate.

Interestingly the 16's beat Cas easily the other night, they are the club who signed 8 players from Hull to play at that level.

I don't buy into that fc/kr fans thing, a lot of them ring fenced are big fans of the other team. Ie Jack Brown

MIkey was only signed late, missed out on initial scholarship but came in about last Easter iirc.

Yes the u16s beat Cas which is a shot in the arm after the players who went there, although thatvwill be more prevalent next year with them being the current year 1 / u15s

Connor Wynne/Ness. If he knuckles down and gets his head screwed on this lad could be anything he wants to.

I like the look of Adam Rooks and Elliot Wallis but they're both KR.

Always been a fan of Jay Lennon as well.

Don't think we will see much more of a break through for a couple of seasons though.

Scholarship watch out for Josh Gray and Joel Speed.

I have seen Charlie a lot, decent player but not sure he is good to make it professionally, he is a great kid though so hope I'm wrong.
