Not sure really. Chat on social media that RH were too negative but given Burnsy said Allam should be gifted the stadium I think that's unlikely.

RH statement says "We're disappointed we will no longer be able to broadcast full-match commentary of @HullCity due to the club withdrawing from our agreement." which suggests that it wasn't simply a contract running out.

Think that Radio Humberside and Burnsy have been critical of the Allam regime of late.Not sure whether the cancellation of the contract came after the criticism or the criticism resulted in the cancellation.Also think the Burnsy statement about the Allams being gifted the stadium goes back a fair while.He and the majority of City fans have seen the Allams true colours and despise them with a passion and for good reason.
Wonder if Burnsy will get down to City now that he will have to put his hand in his pocket.

This is going to affect a lot of fans not able to get to games, particularly the elderly/infirm/those that can't afford to get to games.
Is there going to be/or is there already another local commercial station that covers the home games?
If not maybe someone (HDM?) could publish information before games so that some could tune into the away teams commentaries as a last resort.

Viking fm are taking over from bbc radio humberside

They're only broadcasting on Viking 2 so its DAB or AM only. Alienating everyone seems the end goal.

Its almost like they are going out of their way to upset their fanbase now.

City fans are speculating if Viking are allowed to call them "Hull City" or have to refer to them as the Tigers all of the time.
