Wasn't the Tautai challenge to the knee on Cuthbertson? Powell's I can't remember exactly, but didn't look anywhere near as bad.


So Charney will probably miss the semi. Garde C, so 2-3 matches. Allgood's was very similar and he got a 1-match (but had an EGP available), so a 2-match ban?

Tautai - no EGP available, Grade B is a 1-2 matches. I expect a 1-match ban.

csorry my mistake he has been charged holy mother that one I was not expecting if justice is done both should not be available foe the semi if they get an equal ban as other player have done for similar offences we will wait and see

However, I'm not actually sure the grading letter for badly impersonating a scrum half!

No doubt he will appeal and the ban will be overturned.

He's appealed and they've given him 500 lines and a get out of jail free card so they don't need to waste any time next time he infringes

Tautai pleads not guilty, but found guilty and given 2 matches.

We all know they will get them downgraded and make the semi. Mcdermott is right about these tackles, someone is going to get a career ending injury before long and it's about time the RFL started punishing offenders properly

Not a chance they will get downgraded . The trouble is there is no consistency with regard to match bans / fines with the RGL.

That is a disgrace . Who ever sanctioned that decision needs to be held accountable and justify it .

The inconsistency shown by the RFL is accompanied with arrogance in that they favour certain teams .

It used to be Maurice Lindsey pulling the strings in the Central Park farce days, seems zilch ever changes! Completely predictable. I'm not one for agendas but given that in the past month we've had Flower, O'Loughlin and now Tautai receiving discretionary downgradings of offences in the game's biggest club at the business end of the season, you do do have to wonder.

It is what it is. With a bit of luck it'll create a siege mentality for us.

Tbh think they have done you a favour Tautai is a liability and will get you plenty of penalties not withstanding how much he loses the ball.

What it now means, is that they will probably go with Tautai and 'the wrecking ball' off the bench. Having both of those on at the same time, we should be looking at hitting them with quick play the balls and scoots from the backs and Houghton. They will be penalty machines, and liabilities with good footwork at the line
