With all due respect to RW, who has served up very well over the last 12 years, unless there is an injury crisis of biblical proportions I don't think he will get much of a look in with the squad as it stands.

They wanted him permanently back in December, but he didn't want to go, but I guess now he sees the writing on the wall great bloke though and it will seem strange to see him on someone else's team sheet, at least he won't be playing against us Sad but inevitable I guess! We move on! Leigh have a great salary cap don't they?

His quick wits did as much as anyone to win us the CC in Cardiff. No one should forget him for that.

Wish him well been great for us for a very long time, and will a great signing for Leigh so much experience and great football brain would of liked to see him in a coaching role if he is interested but I guess he still wants to play another couple of seasons will be very capable at that level

Honestly not sure on this one, not like he's a young lad who needs to be tested at a different level and won't really make much difference cap wise.

Yes good luck indeed. Rich is a great visionary player and low maintenance as well and he's never ever once let us down But at this point in his career he wants to be playing games in the highest possible 'company' and with some quality players so he has decided to take the opportunity at Leigh. It could have been worse!!!!!! I guess a lot depends on if our lot want him back!

Thats probably the reason its a loan rather then a perm deal.

You have to consider what is best for the player and I think he has earnt the right to keep playing at a higher level than under 23 reserves of that's what he want, this will allow him to play a good level and potentially earn himself a deal for next year.

I wouldn't rule out him playing first team for Hull again either.

I think Whiting's value to the club is far greater than any salary he will be drawing as has been proven on numerous occasions over the years. He is still the only player in superleague to play 1 to 13 in a single season! A feat that will probably not be repeated. If he has any coaching aspirations I'd like to think, given his obvious talents and character that the club has plans to retain him in some capacity. If he makes a permanent move away from the club I can't imagine many having anything but praise for him and his service to our club.
