19's play against Leeds tonight (7/8/14) at YPI with a 7pm kick off.

I know a lot of people can't get up to Bishop Burton but used to go regularly to YPI. Good to have them back in the City, can't wait for chamberlain road to be completed.

Why? The pitches at the front are not full size and its going to be for the kids amateur. Hull FC have only got the freehold. The U19's won't be playing there as far as I know.

So they are only going to use if for U10's and younger? And so only used on a tues, weds and Thursday night?

Bit pointless creating small pitches if not

I heard AP say (can't remember when or where) that the 19's will be moving there.

It was a condition of the Barrett houses going up that they would be mini pitches. There is a car park but no standing or seating facilities, there isn't room what with 160 houses on there too. It looks like Barratts have reneged on their decision to build new changing rooms on Pelican Park too. I live right behind the development and have seen the plans and the changes to them from the beginning.

Only for training purposes along with 1st team. Games will still be played at Bishop Burton.

Like I mentioned earlier, mini pitches are no use as once kids get to 11 they play on full size

And I can't see no youth clubs splitting the set up to play there

Going by the performance of the Leeds lot, it isn't. They were very poor and apart from their FB offered little threat.

How does HTW look to be progressing?

Good in spells but needs to learn to manage a game better. Gave a couple of wild balls out tonight when simple play would have been the better option. Great passing range and very good left boot.

Looked a lot better tonight than he did Saturday which was helped by having Abdull around him.

Looks to have lost a slight bit of pace but to me he seems to be carrying or have had a knee ligament injury.

Yeah, he was outstanding to set up the try for Abdull late in the 2nd half, but then threw the ball straight in to touch trying to bullet one out to the winger the next set. Also kicked a 40/20 against the wind, but kicked one out on the full under no pressure.

His core skills are absolutely outstanding for a kid his age in his position, got to remember he was still 2 years younger than the Leeds lads he played against tonight.

One of the best I've ever seen at that age, reminds me of Thurston with his scrum cap and the way he moves and runs.*

I have not seen the actual sizes but I know there will be no more than 4 (possibly 3) mini pitches. Don't forget the bit of land at the front of Brooklands was left alone by Barratts as a token gesture and iirc there is a covenant on the land that it has to be used for sports. Barratts got around that by leaving a very small section of it where only mini pitches would fit. I think people are thinking it is the whole of Brooklands that is to be for sports but its a very small bit at the front and even that is cut into by Dove House at the side of their shop and the back.

Would have said Turgut was ahead of BTW tbh and should have had a hat trick. Has great feet runs great lines and can tackle all day long.
