Just after people's views and thoughts on what they are expecting for the 2014 season, here's mine

Super league champs - Wigan/Warrington
Top of table - Wigan/Warrington
Challenge cup - saints
Bottom - widnes (not including London as I see it a given they'll be bottom)
Most improved- saints
Biggest underachievers- Salford (closely followed by giants)
Us to finish 7th
Rovers to finish 8th

Reckon Saints might win it this year, and fancy Hudds for the cup.

Reckon London & Wakey for the drop.

Reckon we'll finish 6th (again) a lot depends on how the halves click, could be the first year in a while both our halves play 20+ games together! (Touch wood).

Toss up between Saints & L**ds for any of the three trophy's . If London don't finish bottom , It will be a miracle . As mentioned above , Either Bradford or Wakefield to finish a place above London .

You don't seem to sure who you fancy yourself , so why ask others !

Reckon Wire will struggle with pretty much all their experienced players leaving (Briers, Morley, Hodgson and Carvell).

Saints will be the team to beat, Giants good again. Salford will do well to make the 8. Think Wovers will struggle. Our season depends on consistency of our halves and pack staying fit. Again. I'm weirdly optimistic, but not expecting massive success.

Don't fancy Wigan at all.
Goal kicking will cost them games, they'll miss Richards for more than just that though
They struggle when Tompkins out never mind left, and I don't believe bowen will do any good here. Think he'll miss lots of games, and struggle in the early conditions and miss playing outside Thurston
PettyBourne okay but doesn't replace both tuson and hansen.
Wire still strong even though lost some experience
Saints still a half missing but look much improved on paper
Leeds backline is utterly tremendous, one of the best of super league. Halves getting on, forwards same and reliant on peacock still. Not sure aiton a tradeuup for MacShane. Tough and a competitor but not as crafty.
Huddersfield should still be there about. Depending on brough though. 7 8th place if he got injured and missed most of the year.
Cat dragons will be big and powerfull and dangerous again, but I don't think their coach is up to it
Rovers will upset some teams and on given days be good. But I think dobson will be missed as keating is an better 9 imo. Weyman will miss quite a few games. Costigan will be a flop I believe. Great defender nothing else thesedays. JLangley always misses games but not as effective as he should be. Good grafter though. Like the French kid loads though.
Salford good 13 bit weak after. Few injuries they'll struggle. Halves make them a threat though
Widnes will upset about few-again. Others fighting it out amongst themselves
Then onto us
More depth and cover in every position than I can remember for a long time.
Have 3of the most exciting young players in the league coming through.
Forwards for me have a nice mix of player. If they can be effective they'll release the best hooking interchange in the league and allow our halves some space and options. That though is by far our biggest concern, whether two youngsters can dictate us. But I expect personally more off the cuff play. They're both runners of the ball, full backs are good in broken play, already know we've 2good hookers who can open play up, and hopefully Westy can thrive as a ball player instead of a battering ram
Think hull could do very well, i only see saint's as significantly improved. Rest same or even weaker.
If our gambles come off eg feka,talonoa biggs young halves, and youngsters all improve yet further we could be very dangerous
But don't see us massively worse off than this year even if they all failed miserably.

The top 5 probably won't change to much I think saints have got the final few players there squad was missing to compete so they could push for a trophy hopefully we will stay fit as a squad & lenny will rotate when the senior players need rest or have slite niggles we have a very quick & mobile squad if our chosen 6 & 7 get us around the field well I think 2014 will be very promising we will shock a lot of teams & people that think we haven't recruited well.

I think you are right. You could possibly shuffle the positions of a few teams within those groups but I bet those 3 groups are exactly right by the end of the season.

those 3 groups are quite easy to pick, it's getting them in the right order. personally I think Huddersfield will be top of the pile again.

I found it rather amusing to start a thread asking for people's expectations , when you wasn't sure of your own mate

. And I wouldn't want you as a friend , your to indecisive .

Think we will be top 6 again but can see Wigan and poss Warry struggling,sts have recruited well and Leeds have the best back line in the league but miss a top class halfback.Hudds are a funny team as they was lucky with no injuries to key players.As long as we play with pride and try some moves then fair enough.

Yet another nothing season in the league for us I feel.

Why not wait and see watch kind of rugby Hull serve up.Hull will shock a lot of the big teams this season only my opinion The luck of the draw in the cup who knows just maybe another visit to the Towers Don't forget a lot of players have to bed in there has been a hell of a lot of new faces introduce to the team.

Huddersfield or Leeds to finish top of the pile due to having a more settled squad. Saints to improve with Wigan and Wire both struggling to overcome big player losses. Us, KR and Catalans to battle out the rest of the 8 with only Salford mounting a challenge from outside. London to comfortably finish bottom.

Leeds to win SL and Saints for the cup.

That's just my opinion, Leeds will struggle this year due to their ageing pack, just like last year. We will be the surprise package with good youth and experience can't be doing with we're going to finish sixth. If I thought that was the case I wouldn't be paying good money to watch. For god sake lets have some optimism, reading some of the posts its a wonder we have sold one ticket never mind season passes
