Surprised at Hock's inclusion and Ferris & Crabtree exclusion.

Is Crabtree injured or due to have surgery? Otherwise its a poor decision to leave him out.

Ferres, Crabtree, Lunt & Ratchford IMO can count themselves as unlucky not to have made it, I imagine a couple of those will be on the 'standby' list.

I think he's got it about right really, which I haven;t said about an England squad for some time.

It's not a badly balanced squad and he's got a few who have utility value.

Suppose Hardaker can play there but would still have liked another. Still, don't think that's as bad as it couldn't have been.

McIllorum above Lunt is a strange one for me. Lunt is by far the better of the two whenever I've seen them play.

Lunt and Higham have been the 2 best hookers in SL this season IMO, how McIlorum and Burrow have both got in ahead of both of them is beyond me.

Interesting that season this saw the first all English Dream Team, yet only 4 have made the England squad. There's a few of them who can consider themselves very unlucky IMO.

How does Mc Ilorum get anywhere near any England Squad ???

We all know why, really. If he was at somewhere like Wakefield or Salford he wouldn't. It's the same for Rob Burrow's inclusion and why Ablett is in but neither Ferres or Kirmond are. Hudds finished top of the pile with a strong English contingent yet get one representative.

Burrow is a must for me coming from the bench. His elusiveness and speed will really catch tired defenders out late in games. I would have included Lunt above McIllorum and Crabtree had to be in there. Ferres, Kirmond and Ratchford must have been very close to making the squad. The two players for me that are constantly included when they shouldn't be are Ablett and Jones-Buchanan so at least one hasn't made it.

Ablett can play in the centres and Burrow at half would be my explanation. Still rubbish though.

If that was why, Whiting would be a better choice than Ablett. It's who they play for, simple as that.

So did you not see them go head to head three weeks ago in the play-offs (meaningful game), where Mcllorum out-classed Lunt?
