Final straw for Gentle??

Last week I was told Gentle was gone no matter what happened but I still held hope we could at least go out of the play offs with pride & Gentle could hold his head high.

Be interesting to see if what I was told comes true. Radders to take over, Paul Cooke as assistant maybe straight away or after another year at Doncaster.

We'll see..................

One things for sure without the surprise emergence of Lineham, Crooks & Shaul we would have not much to look forward to next year!!

Radford and Cooke? That'll be popular.

So we'll replace an experienced but failing coach with two completely untested ones?

Gentle is not an experienced head coach though is he? This is his first head coach role. Had more support then any coach has had in the last 20 years and we've scraped into the play-offs & barring a 2 cup game wins we've been bang average overall.

Radders & Cookie maybe wouldn't be so bad. This is Paul Andersons 1st season & he ain't done too bad taking over Nathan Brown who many people thought was the dogs....

Radford take over? Someone is on crack! Needs a massive personality and proven top level coach to sort this shower out. While we're at it bin off half these players with no professional pride. An amateur team wouldn't have conceded this many points.

Gentle is still more experienced than Radford and Cooke. Quite why anyone thinks that they would be better is a mystery. And we don't need 'better' anyway - we need a really good coach to get anything worthwhile out of this shower.

Going on your basis of needing experience Anderson should not be doing what he is doing with Huddersfield?? Plenty of coaches have done well in their first years. Brown at Huddersfield, now Anderson, McGuire at Wigan improved them massively straight away.

We've been fooled into thinking Gentle needs years.........

So who do you suggest we get with experience?

Brian Noble has more experience then most but has not done much since taking over at Salford.

A club needs a togetherness, toughness, coaches who don't take no e. I've never got the impression Gentle could put a rocket up the players @rse.

Agar had his critics, myself included but looking at his recruitment in comparison to Gentle's maybe he wasn't so bad! Even this week Justin Poore stated his desire to stay at Wakefield due to Agar. Nearly every player Agar signed creamed themselves over how Agar sold the club to them so fair play to him.

Since then barring Ellis our recruitment has been average & I don't doubt that he'd have come had Agar still been here.

We wanted Hock when Agar was here. Tom Biggs is an old Agar target. We have gone nowhere despite all the talk

Even before this match, gentle's recruitment convinced me he is fukking clueless

are you joking?! Noble took over a club that was on the verge of extinction, with a bunch of waifs and strays clubbed together at last minute and has already improved the team, they were just as good as Hull at the KC a couple of months back and were unlucky to lose.

Don't understand the calls for coaches like Radford and Cooke at all, we need a proven head coach who has won things and consistently got teams to finals. Daniel Anderson or Brian McClennon for me

To be fair,Andersons had 6 or 7 years assisting at Saints and Hudds as a grounding to the job hes doing now

To be fair Peter Gentle by name Gentle by Nature had the best assistant coach grounding by been the Aussie national team assistant coach. For whatever reason it hasn't worked out. I just look at people like Wane & Paul Anderson & Brian McDermott who take no rubbish & are born winners.

Radford or Jamie Peacock would do for me for a year least we'd see some pride. We came top of the fair play league I believe despite spending most of the season defending.

Wouldn't be surprised to see McNamara here but that'll be a massive mistake.

Much rather have Justin Morgan who can without a doubt build an average team up by adopting a siege mentality

From what I hear its;
Radford as coach, Last as assistant, Motu as DOR and link up dual reg partnership with Doncaster where Cock is coach and will play a part in our youth development!!

Never seen us play so bad. There has to be some action. There has to be a message sent after that. Unless something major happens, a lot of fans will not be renewing their season passes.

What had been a fairly good season has been completely overshadowed by two appalling high profile performances.

Sharpe/Agar = Gentle/Radford - it does not bare thinking about - If PG is sacked his assistant should go with him. Bring back Andy Hay
