So why penalise it?

I demand an apology.

I demand Thaler to be stood down for a week and to talk about how 'distraught' he is, a phone call to Pearson to express his sincerest apologies too.

And lets no forget it was his false call on the 4th tackle that forced us to kick and put our mate Steve in that horrible position. The complete b*stard!!!

Fair decision IMO

On Twitter this evening the refs are doing a Q&A and when asked why O'Meley was penalised, Ben Thaler said:

I am just watching with a family member and we just watched that over again - a Brilliant tackle and if we are going to penalise that type of big hit we may as well play the game like Basketball/Netball.

When we were watching it on TV I said "That will be penalised because he didn't use his arms"

Awesome fair hit. If this had been State of Origin, would it have been penalised? Would it F***! We are going soft like soccer!

Rugby League is losing something with these perfectly fair contacts being penalised more and more.

Great hit, should never have been penalised. And rovers scored from it.

We should demand an apology. Had we not got the last try we'd have only drawn n got 1point due to Dobsons resultant penalty kick instead of the full 2.
Turns out it is true about things evening themselves out.

Suprisingly no mention of the high tackle on Alex Brown as he scored his try.

Possibly because it never happened.

Just watched this back on the highlights. Not sure if there was any actual contact. But it was very close!

Agree, it was IMO a cracking hit by O'Meley. Ban the elbows and attacks to players heads but they have made a huge mistake here and in the NRL by banning a shoulder charge.

I think the shoulder charge needs debating, I think its exclusion takes away something great from the game, but hey, im not the one out there getting smashed. I would suggest its put to the players and debated, cause I like nothing better than to see some of those big hits.

The majority of players and coaches didn't want it outlawing in the first place!
