I believe the previous bid wanted control of odsal back friom the RFL which I assume they wanted at much less than the RFL paid. No surprise they've been knocked back

Followed with interest as I still have a bad taste in my mouth over their salary cap fiddles and all that they won is tainted but they don't see it that way.

However I think they should reform in the Championship and work their way back financially sound.

The consortiums don't want a bar of it and will only buy if they get gtd SL status now and in 2014 I reckon. Also , as with all consortiums , they want odsal for peanuts. These consortiums rarely have cash , they want it all for free and debt free ala Pompey. Unlike Allams !

RL should strike a deal that makes sense - full cash for Odsal up front , not over 30 years. ALso NO guarantee on SL .

Likely that RFL will accept one of the bids but need to be seen to be gaining some concessions in an effort to save face.
