| Seen the trys from the Salford match and Looking at them,Briscoe was caught out for the 1st and 2nd try by being way too far infiels for me.Now if this was Ssarpe,he would be getting hung, drawn and quartered and by me as i dont rate him but Briscoe does deserve some critisim or is he bullet proof?

Hubby thinks he is no longer interested in FC and will be gone by the end of the season ?....Not sure why mind he thinks he is hyped too much, personally though I like Briscoe and if any-thing I think he does not see enough ball from Yeamo.

I dont think he was too chuffed with us getting rid of Agar,he is a good winger yes but there are better about as well......We all know what Yeamos like and wont change im afraid.Briscoe lacks awareness for me,if theres a break he doesnt seem to back up or read the play.

He is a good player, but I don't think he is as brilliant as some would have you believe. I also think he was a bit out of position for Wire's last try in the first home game.
He is of course often hampered by Yeaman running out the line to make 'Hollywood' tackles, and hogging the ball in attach though.

| I don't think Briscoe is bullet proof but he does get more latitude due to is try scoring exploits. He's a match winner and we have very few of them. Sharp IMO is just a poor player full stop who I'd rather was playing rugby somewhere else.

Agree with that but usually,Yeamo is very good at coming out of the line but has got glue on his hands.

| The first try was Salford just exploiting our sliding defence with a early tackle kick, any criticism should be of the structure not of Briscoe.
The 2nd try he had no reson to get involved with Gleeson and should trust Yeaman to make the 1 on 1 tackle.

| Briscoe is an natural athlete he is explosive, very powerful and speedy hes not perfect but hes still young. dont know if some of you are kidding your self in hope that you wont take it too hard if he leaves before he peaks. but this is no time to start bashing a young kid who if was a rovers player we'd be eating our hearts out.

| In my opinion I still don't think Briscoe is ready to go down under,
He still need more time to learn his trade in this Country. I would hate it to see the lad
fall flat on his face. The standard in Australia is a lot higher than in S/L .Some might say it could make him
but it could also break the lad.

Totally agree. For some reason when Sharp was caught the same way last year, he was at fault for a lot of people.
More worrying is that the sliding defence problem still hasn't been sorted out

On Friday Salford spread the ball all over the place but we were just sliding across keeping our discipline hence them having to resort to a kick on tackle 3/4 and a sensational offload by Gleeson to break it down. Its not as if their ball movement was too good or somebody shot out of the line.

Seems ok to me so far,a hell of a improvement on the last few seasons anyway.

Don't think that's got anything to do with it TBH. He's always had issues with his defence - people just tend to overlook his faults because of his strengths.

Improved on the right but easily caught out on the left on Friday.

Which is what concerns me. You could have fitted an ocean liner between Briscoe and the touch line. Hope it was a one off, but compressing the defensive line like that is an invitation to kick us to death

Can't be a one off when he did exactly the same for Warringtons equalising try.

| during the second half, after moving from the morons, in front of us was one of the press photgraphers with the large telescopic lenses and on one shot he allowed us to see was briscoe clearly grounding the ball from a kick through that was waved away for a drop out!

Said a few times and, indeed the last time I did was on Friday at Salford after that try, that Briscoe is often out of position in defence.
I also think he was one of the ones who was most "indignant" at Agar's leaving. I remember reading a particularly telling interview in the Mail at the time. Understandable, I suppose, as Agar was primarily responsible for the discovery of the Briscoes. But not sure if any resentment still lingers - he's a silly boy if so.

They are from his home town Featherstone, Agar watched all the Briscoe boys in action when they played for Fev...we were there a few weeks ago and the coaches were telling us, all good friends.

| I wonder if Briscoe is carrying an injury? He's certainly been off-form so far. Having said that, our 3/4 line has probably been the most disappointing part of our game - no tries from Martin / Sharp, and Briscoe way off his best.

Certainly looked like they didn't know how to get over the line once they were near it on Friday. Lots of unforgiveable errors within 10 yards of the tryline. They seemed to be panicking a bit, I thought.
