Would go for Lynch personally, think he'll do a lot of minutes if he stays fit and seems to be leading by example in training, has done it before for Bradford.

This is about 4th thread on this subject since the end of last season and I still haven't changed my mind. Tickle for me.

Interesting that Gentle sees Horne as potential Captain material. He's didn't impress there the last time we tried - maybe he's developed in that area over the last few seasons?

Personally I'm split between Tickle and Lynch - I think either would do the job justice.

O'Meley or Lynch for me.

Wouldnt mind mckinnon either shouting out from the back, but i reckon itl be lynch

not bothered really but has to be someone who spends most minutes on the pitch , but either tickle or lynch sound fine for me, horne not vocal enough

For me its Lynch by a mile, from what i have heard about him in training he has been doing a lot of the bossing around from the start, no off field issues, plays plenty of minutes.
Tickle needs to concentrate on his game cant say i have been to impressed for quite a while now, Horney i like but again dont think the responsibity is for him Seymour will boss the backs about.

Six natural leaders, all very vocal and can all do the job. Slightly tongue in cheek he said won't matter who he chooses, Seymour will be talking over the top of them and organising.



Seems to have settled in very well and is really enjoying being in the area. Smailes took him out for tea so they're on very good terms for at least the next fortnight.



Smailes thinks it's between Andy Lynch and Danny Tickle (Smailes personally would give it to Westerman - thinks it would be a chance to build with a young captain, whereas he thinks the others will be shouting orders anyway)

Also Westerman training at loose forward rather than a wider 2nd rower.

At the forum Gentle seemed keen on Lynch.

Will stick with my original choice of Wade Mckinnon.

Maybe one of the reasons Hull paid big money for a 32 year old player is because he was a crucial part of his previous team and the way they play, and showed throughout that he is an excellent leader both on and off the pitch- hence making him an obvious choice to become captain. Tickle would learn alot as vice captain, and would then take over when Lynch retires in the next couple of years.

Not a bad call, but I'd have Westerman taking over after a couple of years instead of Tickle. Someone young who we could build the team around & would hopefully still be here, as captain, for many more years.
