Firstly, I have emailed Hull FC to pass on the following.

On Saturday, the result was never going to be in doubt, but the fans, staff, coaches and players of Hull FC were out of this world. I help out with the players stats on behalf of Oldham, have done it for years (and before anyone says - yes I was very busy for 80mins on Saturday

). I sat with some of the directors and officials of Hull FC, who provided us with great conversation, humour and hospitality. However, after the game, Richard Agar asked if my 11 year old son wanted to meet the players and have his photos taken straight after the game. He introduced him to all the players, who in turn had his photograph with them along with talking to him etc. It made one 11 year old boy very, very happy, and provided memories that will last forever. Totally professional, and corteous was all the players and Richard himself. To me, people are very quick to complain, yet do nothing when something good happens. In this case, it's the latter. Again, many thanks for Saturday, and it has made a positive lasting impression on my son and I. Thank you to everyone at Hull FC and good luck in the future and in the next round.

It's great to hear some positive news about things like this so thanks for the post and glad you and your lad enjoyed the day if not the scoreline.

You should be thankfull there was a sale on in the shop ha ha. Thanks for the kind words, usually rugby league clubs are more friendly but i have to say i do think we are especially good at that sort of thing. Thanks for going on saturday and well done for keeping in good spirits and voice all game despite the scoreline, best of luck fir the future

Brilliant to hear such positives, I agree that people are quick to moan but not as quick to praise! Glad you had a good time.

oldham fans were great, players never stopped trying, saw some great banter between turner and fogerty throughout the game.

Many thanks for the above post. Glad you enjoyed the day (result notwithstanding). We have had people in the past on here recounting a far from perfect expeirence when visiting the KC, so it's always nice to hear of visitors who have left with good memories.

I would also return the compliment and say that I thought the conduct and professionalism of everyone connected with your club was outstanding and reflected great credit on your set-up there. Even though your team was taking a hammering, your players never resorted to cheap shots or dirty tactics and continued playing with enthusiasm right up to the final minute. It can't be easy conceding a point a minute and still maintain your composure.
I was particularly impressed by the lad who was dumped on his backside by Jordan Turner late in the game and got up and patted him on the back. A nice touch of sportsmanship which showed the positive attitude your team came here with.

Also credit to your small band of supporters up there in the NW corner of the ground. They made themselves heard and matched the players enthusiasm by applauding and cheering their team particularly when defending your goal line.

Best of luck for the rest of the year and maybe we will see you at the KC (or your place) sometime again in the near future.

When i was younger i used to wait with my dad in the boulevard after the games to see if i could get some players autographs, i must have the full 2001/02 teams autographs, and Jason Smiths about 5 times (my favourite

). And one week someone came up to us and asked if i'd like to go in the changing room to meet him and get him to sign my shirt, but i was told to close my eyes because they might not have clothes on

.
I'm never getting rid of that Shirt.
