Pub discussion with a friend the other night and talking about the best team that could be put together of Hull FC overseas players (regardless of when they played for us). I’d be interested to see other people’s suggestions. Here’s mine for starters -

Kemble, OHara, Leulaui, Richie Barnett, Colin Best, Fred Ah Kuoi, Peter Sterling, OMeley, Swain, Craig Greenhill, Kearney, Fitzgibbon, Jason Smith (Coach Brian Smith)

(- and no disrespect intended to Patrick Entat, Greg Mackey, Tony Grimaldi, John Muggleton, Nathan Blacklock, Marcus Bai and countless others).

Finally, who was that Moroccan winger we had a few years ago?

Some cracking players in there I agree, however I would have to find space for Danny Divet and Des Hasler who I thought were outstanding in an ordinary Hull side. Vaikona would also be in my squad.

Fred Ah Kuoi was bit before my time but Greg Mackey was a superb player. But the biggest omission from the OP for me, would have to be Noel Cleal.

He used to do block paving in Hedon.

Len Ditmar - early 70's forward when the club was on its knees he was one of a large number of Oz players who worked hard and contributed to saving the club

I forgot about scotty gale, he was doing 'pauls pirouette' well before Paul.

Sterling would probably be the 'best' overseas player, but for impact over a sustained period of time I would say Richard Swain, was awesome throughout his time here and do not remember him ever having a bad game, the man was an inspiration to those around him.

all joking aside, weve had some absolute shocking overseas players. probably more than weve had good ones.....i'll start by naming fili seru, david baildon for starters...complete shizzer they was....
