Why does anyone think that an orange ball would show up better in fog?

It was foggy FFS, unless the ball was illuminated, it wouldn't matter what colour it was

was I the only one really scared about it being called off and going to the RFL's panel?

Redhall probably doesn't even have a set of rules or procedures for abandoned games! so no doubt the outcome would have been a bizarre controversy!

Just ringing the emergency service's to tell them they have been wasting their time wearing the orange gear in bad weather.

It always used to be: after 60 minutes play, the score stood

still is in the amateur game, not sure about s.l though.

Its 70 minutes and even then it depends on what score it is, if its say 6 - 0 then RFL may still say it has to be played again

THose at the game won't have heard Sky explain the situation.

No matter what time the game may have been abandoned, the RFL's OPeration Committee would have made a ruling judged on score, time remaining etc.

Stevo commented 'If one side is 24 points up then they'll be awarded the win' (he was using 24 as an example, not a set guideline. An hour later and WE were 26 points up! Almost the perfect prediction from Stevo!

I guess from the moment we were 20-0 up, the game was always going to be awarded in our favour.

Would have been interesting to see what they'd have at 12-0 or 14-0 as there was plety of time left but Hull were clearly the better team. Anyway, it's concern for another day, but the betting fraternity amongst us (me included) will be interested in games where we have money on to know how the RFL might rule in future cases.

Had it several years back with Bradford v Wigan when I had money on Bradford and was begging them to keep the game going as Bradford were about 10 points up!! At that time the 60 minute rule applied but now we have a subjective element.
